UK Financial Controller - Group Functions

• Lead and develop the UK Group Functions Financial Control team, driving performance, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, including management accounts, statutory accounts, audit requirements and Group submissions.
• Own and enhance the financial control framework, ensuring strong balance sheet governance, effective controls and risk management.
• Provide clear insight and challenge to senior finance leaders on key financial judgements, risks, compliance matters and control issues.
• Build strong partnerships across Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Procurement, Technology and external auditors to deliver robust financial control outcomes.
• Oversee financial governance, transfer pricing, intercompany accounting and process improvement initiatives that strengthen control and operational efficiency.

• Professionally qualified accountant with strong expertise in financial control, financial reporting and technical accounting.
• Proven finance leader with experience managing and developing teams within complex, multi-entity organisations.
• Strong background in statutory reporting, management reporting, audit delivery and balance sheet governance.
• Deep understanding of internal controls, risk management and compliance, with the ability to strengthen and improve control frameworks.
• Commercially minded with excellent stakeholder management skills, able to influence senior leaders and provide constructive challenge.
• Experience driving process improvement and transformation, supported by strong systems, data and analytical capabilities.
