Associate Cloud Engineer (DevSecOps 

(Hybrid/Kraków – 1 day per week in the office)

About the role 

 

We are looking for an Associate Cloud Engineer (DevSecOps) to join our platform team and support the development of secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cloud technologies, automation, infrastructure, and security practices while working alongside experienced engineers. 

 

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud platform initiatives, contribute to automation efforts, and learn how security is embedded throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities 

 

  • Support the implementation of security best practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle 
  • Contribute to automation initiatives across infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and security controls 
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure delivery pipelines and paths to production 
  • Work closely with the Tech Lead, Principal Engineer, and engineering teams to support the platform in line with the infrastructure strategy 
  • Participate in reviewing existing automation solutions and help identify opportunities for improvement 
  • Support the deployment, maintenance, and operation of IaaS, PaaS, and platform tooling capabilities 
  • Contribute to the development and adoption of platform standards, best practices, and documentation 
  • Assist with platform support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities 

What you'll bring

  • Foundational understanding of DevOps principles and Agile/Scrum ways of working 
  • Basic knowledge of DevSecOps concepts and security best practices within the software delivery lifecycle 
  • Exposure to Continuous Delivery practices and collaboration within cross-functional teams 
  • Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills 
  • Experience or academic exposure to CI/CD tools, such as GitLab 
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar work management tools 
  • Basic experience with Infrastructure as Code concepts, ideally using Terraform 
  • Some experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Shell, or Bash 
  • Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS or GCP 
  • Understanding of fundamental networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS, TLS/SSL, and SSH 
  • Awareness of security concepts and tools used in cloud environments 
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as DataDog, Dynatrace, or similar is an advantage 
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team 
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
