What's the job?

As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing containerized and virtual machine workloads across multiple cloud platforms. Your primary objectives will be to ensure the high availability of our platform and the efficient placement of workloads and compute resources. You will be responsible for maintaining cloud infrastructure and building new self-service capabilities that other teams can consume, to deploy their resources into AWS or GCP.
You will collaborate closely with development teams to enhance infrastructure processes, drive automation, and improve service performance. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build, manage, and improve AWS and GCP cloud capabilities, focusing on automation and continuous delivery. 
  • Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters and other container platforms. 
  • Consult with product teams to implement and automate best practices. 
  • Share knowledge and improve team maturity in operational practices. 
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure consistent implementation of IAAS and PAAS.
  • Maintain common pipelines, production paths, shared standards and practices. 
  • Collaborate with other teams to align platform vision with infrastructure strategies and Open Source/vendor technology. 

What you'll bring

Skills & Experience: 

  • Extensive experience in DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD automation, configuration management, and release engineering. 
  • Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes, including deploying, scaling, monitoring, and securing clusters in production environments. 
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms, AWS and GCP (nice to have), with hands-on experience in provisioning, networking, security, and cost optimization. 
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation, to automate and manage infrastructure at scale. 
  • Strong background in CI/CD pipeline design and optimization, with hands-on experience using tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins 
  • Experience in observability and monitoring, with familiarity in tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Dynatrace to ensure system reliability and performance. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems and support teams in making informed infrastructure decisions. 
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
