Overview

If you’re looking for a role with real breadth, visibility and influence, this is a chance to make your mark at Group level. As a Senior Legal Advisor within Kingfisher’s Corporate Legal team, you’ll advise on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, supporting governance, financing and regulatory compliance across a FTSE‑listed organisation.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll help navigate legal risk in a complex environment while contributing to the effective running of the Group as a publicly listed company.

 

 

What's the job?

 

Provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice on a wide range of corporate transactions, including M&A, disposals, joint ventures, internal reorganisations and shareholder‑related matters.

 

Advise and support the Treasury function on financing arrangements, including credit facilities, term loans, hedging documentation, dividend payments and share buyback programmes.

 

Work closely with Investor Relations and Company Secretariat to support legal and regulatory compliance and contribute to effective corporate governance within a publicly listed company.

 

Play a key role in the review and optimisation of the Group’s legal entity structure, ensuring alignment with strategic, governance and operational requirements.

 

Build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across central functions, providing clear, practical advice in a complex environment.

 

Proactively identify and manage legal risk, ensuring issues are addressed effectively and proportionately.

 

 

What you'll bring

  • Qualified lawyer in England & Wales with a recognised law degree (LLB or equivalent). 
  • Significant post-qualification experience (PQE) with strong corporate law experience, likely gauned over 6 + years ideally gained in a leading law firm and/or within a large multinational organisation 
  • Proven experience providing corporate legal advice within a leading law firm and/or large multinational organisation. 
  • Strong technical grounding in corporate and commercial law, including experience advising listed companies or within a public company environment. 
  • Demonstrable experience working with treasury and financing documentation, including credit facilities and hedging arrangements. 
  • Proven ability to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice in a complex stakeholder environment. 
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, drafting and communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities effectively.
