What's the job?

Role purpose:

Supporting the Investment Planning and Control Manager in analytical tasks to ensure compliance with budgets and adherence to the corporate rules applied within the Group.


Responsibilities:

Participating in the preparation of the company’s investment plan to secure the budget for planned investments:

  • Collecting and consolidating investment expenditure proposals from all divisions
  • Obtaining explanations regarding the rationale for proposed investments
  • Implementing changes to the proposed plan and informing the relevant business owners

Controlling investment expenditures to ensure budget execution:

  • Preparing tools (reports) by responsibility centers to enable effective budget control
  • Preparing reports and communicating budget performance by responsibility centers
  • Together with, and at the request of, the Investment Planning and Control Manager: analyzing reports, drawing and documenting conclusions, and preparing updated forecasts of expected investment levels for the financial year

Financial modelling of proposed investments to assess their profitability:

  • Preparing performance reports for newly opened stores or other investments according to the Manager’s guidelines and established KPIs
  • Conducting critical analysis of results and explaining deviations from project assumptions
  • Presenting conclusions from return‑on‑investment analyses to department management

Monitoring the performance of new investments to assess returns:

  • Preparing performance reports for new stores or other investments based on defined KPIs
  • Critically analyzing results and explaining deviations from project assumptions
  • Presenting conclusions to department management

Supporting the Financial Planning and Analysis Department in analytical tasks:

  • Performing ad hoc financial analyses as requested by the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Participating in the budgeting and financial planning process within the scope assigned by the Head of the department

Managing the return‑on‑capital‑employed analysis for the entire company to improve profitability:

  • Preparing ROCE (Return on Capital Employed) analysis for the entire company, broken down by profit centers


What you'll bring

Qualifications:

  • Approximately 3 years of experience in evaluating investment projects
  • University degree in finance, accounting, or a related economic field
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel
  • Polish language skills C1
  • English language skills B2
